Wednesday, during the third and final presidential debate, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain's facts went astray while discussing the issues of tax cuts, negative campaign advertising, and oil exports. The first thing that McCain claimed was that Obama has spent more money on negative ads than any other presidential candidate. Although this statement has been heard to be true, it has also been said that even though Obama has mostly spent money on negative ads, he has spent more money on ads as a whole. Obama will have raised and spent more than any other candidate. However, recent percentages have proven that in fact Sen. McCain has spent more money on negative ads. CMAG numbers have shown us that McCain is spending nearly 85 percent of his total advertising budget on negative advertising. Obama is spending roughly 60 percent of his total advertising budget on negative advertising.

its absurd how each campaign is obssessed with taging the opposition with negative labels, and the amount of effort and financing used. Could easily be spent on better causes/campaigning.
