Tuesday in Juarez, Mexico a man by the name of Jose Luis Garza was killed by the weight of his own body. Tipping the scales of almost 1,000 pounds Jose's heart failed from severe obesity. Not only had he always been struggling with his weight, but he had recently fell into a deep cycle of depression and over eating since both of his parents died at the same time about 9 months ago. After he began to compulsivly over eat, his breathing was in terrible shape. Once he was found dead, emergency officials were faced with no other option than to tear down his bedroom wall in his house in order to get him out. They had a group of people lift him then into the back of a pick up truck and brought him to the hospital in northern Mexico. His family had then started to complain about how if Jose had been treated in a hospital instead of his home way before he had died, then maybe his chances of surviving his heart failure would have happened. They said he would have been properally treated in a hospital. Also, Jose himself had even asked to be hospitalized but got rejected. State officials said there was really nothing they could have done to help him lose all his weight that he couldn't do at his own home. They were not supportive at all. I think that this is one example of how some communities do not do all they possibly can to help eachother out. Knowing that their town had a man that severely needed support and assistance, they still did not do anything.

Lets see what we eat as you Don't expect to remain healthy if you do not have a balanced diet. You cannot eat whatever you like and stay in good health. Look around you next time you go to the supermarket and try to guess how many people have a truly balanced diet. You are unlikely to see anyone who is suffering from malnutrition or starvation but you may see some who eat more than they need to. You are much more likely to see people who eat too much of the wrong kinds of food.
